The University of Utah School of Dentistry (UUSOD) is seeking a full-time Endodontist with the skills and interest to educate and train an exceptionally talented group of students in a university environment. 


Responsibilities include preparations for the creation of an advanced education program in endodontics. Other responsibilities include didactic and clinical instruction of dental students in the pre-doctoral program, scholarly activities, and service. Optional participation in faculty practice is also available. 


This position will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care of patients in the restorative, prosthetic, periodontics, oral surgery, and oral diagnosis sections of the UUSOD. Evidence-based care is integral to all our programs. Clinical training occurs within the School of Dentistry and its satellite community health clinics.  The UUSOD thrives on high-quality education and innovation while being committed to providing care to underserved populations across the state of Utah.


The position is available in the career line (Clinical) Track. Salary and rank will be commensurate with education and experience. This position requires 0.8 to1 FTE or a 4 to 5 day commitment per week.

Requirements:

•DDS or DMD degree

•Certificate or master’s degree in endodontics from a CODA accredited school

•Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Endodontics

•Eligible for a Utah dental license 

oRequirements for a Utah dental license are found on DOPL.


The school fosters a humanistic, evidence-based approach to education and patient care. We are looking for applicants who are committed to creating a humanistic environment. The successful candidate will educate and mentor dental students to be technically proficient in all aspects of primary oral health care and will serve as role models for the compassionate and ethical care of patients. We also seek individuals whose drive and intellectual curiosity help advance research that leads to new therapeutics for oral health care.
