Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time Dentist to provide general practice dentistry services to the Champaign and surrounding area. We have locations at our primary location, school based health center and other locations. We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6pm Tuesday through Friday and Monday 7:30 to 7pm. Flexible schedules are possible. Primary responsibilities include general dentistry to patients of all ages to include health promotion, education, assessment, acute/chronic care, possibility of some hospital case work, Focus is on examining, diagnosing and developing treatment plans for infections and injuries of the teeth and mouth.
We practice team based care and work continuously to support this provision of providing health services to our patients. Appointment lengths are 1 hour for nitrous appointments, 30 minutes for fillings or extractions, 15 minutes for emergency exams and knee to knee exams. Approximately 66-74 patients each week (approximately 1.7-1.9 patients per hour x 39 hours of direct patient care. All new providers are given a restricted schedule at first to allow for use of a new EHR and to gain familiarity with workflows/resources and time for new patients to establish care. These guidelines are for a full-time position. Our dental EHR is Nextgen.
