Job description: Under the general direction of the Dental Director, the Staff Dentist (Dentist) is responsible for providing clinical dental services and preventive dental care in a community health center setting. In addition, the Dentist may perform other duties as directed by the Dental Director, within the requirements of contractual agreements with the funding sources and in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors of Clinicas del Camino Real, Inc. The Dentist interacts with a multi-cultural population of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, levels of education and ages.


Qualifications:

  • Current California Dental License, NPI number and DEA registrations.

  • Current CPR (BLS) certifications.

  • Completion of an accredited general practice residency program is preferred.

  • Two plus years of community clinic experience preferred.

  • Requires a comprehensive knowledge of primary dental care in outpatient settings.

  • Must have an interest in the design of and in evaluating the efficiency of dental programs in the community health care setting. Authoritative knowledge of the practice and techniques of dentistry as general practitioner in a community health center is highly desirable.

  • Proficient computer skills and experience with electronic dental records software.
