Service Population: Ho-Chunk Nation tribal members and their families, and non-tribal Employees and their families
Responsible for delivery of dental care founded on acceptable public health practices.
Participate in and serve on clinical/administrative staff meetings and committees as required or requested.
Supervise the dental staff (Registered Dental Hygienist, 2 Dental Assistants); oversee the Dental Department and implementation of staff training.
Provide professional information and educational services (preventive care) to patients.
Provide oral health consultation/preventive programs for Head Start programs, coordinate with Community Health, Environmental health, Nutrition, Medical and Pharmacy Departments.
Supervise the documentation, record keeping, scheduling of patients and the maintenance of patients medical records and histories of patients within their immediate care.
Responsible for the Dental program operation including: planning, budgeting, personnel, goals and objectives, evaluation and coordination of internal and external resources.
Enter patient progress notes in an electronic format on the electronic dental record daily or as patients are treated..
Promote dignity, respect and mutual understanding between the Dental staff and the people they serve.
Sign off on all Dental Department requisitions, purchase orders, lead regular meetings with Dental staff, and include other department staff as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
