Under the direction and guidance of the Director Dentistry, the Dentist provides clinical dentistry services and dental health education to pediatric patients following established dentistry standards, procedures and practices and gives specific dental care directions to dental staff. Responsible for examination, diagnosis, planning, treatment, and follow-up of patients within the rules, regulations and guidelines of the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners.

Annual Salary Range: $143,915 to $212,284
Qualifications:
Education:
Requires graduation from a school of dentistry accredited by the ADA.
Experience:
Prefer up to three (3) years experience in civilian or military practice as a dentist, with pediatrics as a specialty.
Prefer more than three (3) years experience as a public health dentist, with pediatrics as a specialty.
Certification/Licensure:
Must be actively licensed by Arizona Board of Dental Examiners.
A current BLS, ACLS or PALS certification obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center required upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must possess considerable knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of pediatric dentistry including behavioral modification techniques, sedation of patients, treatment under general anesthesia in the OR setting, good knowledge of public health laws, regulations and dental health services.
Requires good organizational, problem-solving and computer skills.
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and other contacts.
Must have good business acuity.
Must be able to use reference tools to evaluate patient care and answer questions posed by customers. Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
Bilingual is preferred.
Must have ability to work with culturally diverse people
