The University of Utah School of Dentistry (UUSOD) seeks a dentist with the skills and interest to serve and treat rural and underserved communities with our mobile clinic team. The UUSOD is committed to providing care to underserved populations across Utah and partners with the Department of Justice and local health departments.

This position is hired as a dentist and will work out of the University of Utah Rose Park Clinic. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care at least one week per month to rural areas of the state and providing patient care for individuals in several Juvenile Justice System facilities in Northern Utah six days per month. The UUSOD will cover all travel expenses associated with this position. (11 days per month).

Faculty are hired at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank in the (Clinical) Track or Tenure Track lines. The candidate’s experience and qualifications determine rank.

Compensation is based on experience, and we offer an excellent benefits package, including immediate vesting of 14.2% to retirement with no match required, for all faculty that work more than 50% time. We also offer up to 25 vacation days per year and much more. You can learn more about the benefits package at This position requires 0.6 to 1 FTE or a 3 to 5 day commitment per week. (12 - 20 day per month).

Qualified candidates should have a DDS or equivalent degree and qualify for a dental license in Utah. Requirements for a Utah dental license are found on DOPL.
