The University of Utah School of Dentistry (UUSOD) seeks a dentist with the skills and interest to serve and treat youth within Utah’s Juvenile Justice System. The UUSOD is committed to providing care to underserved populations across Utah and partners with the Juvenile Justice Youth System to provide dental services for youth in their facilities.
This position is hired as a dentist at 0.2- 1.0 FTE and will work out of the University of Utah Rose Park or Ogden Clinics. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care for individuals in several Juvenile Justice System facilities in Northern Utah six days per month. The UUSOD will reimburse mileage at the federal travel reimbursement rate.
Qualified candidates must have a DDS or equivalent degree and qualify for an unrestricted dental license in Utah. Requirements for a Utah dental license are found on DOPL.
Faculty members are hired in the Clinical Track with rank determined by job duties, experience, and qualifications.
Compensation is based on rank and experience. The UUSOD offers an excellent benefits package, including immediate vesting of 14.2% to retirement with no match required, for all faculty that work more than 50% time. This position is open to part-time or full-time candidates with a minimum requirement of 0.3 FTE (6 days per month).
