Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc. (Valley-Wide) welcomes and is committed to all patients and populations within our large multi-county service area throughout southern Colorado. As a non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide premier primary and preventive care you can trust at our 34 service sites strategically located throughout multiple rural counties.
We are looking for a Dentist in our Alamosa Dental Clinic located in Alamosa, CO. As a Dentist, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse patient population, building strong relationships and delivering personalized care that addresses both immediate and long-term goals. From pediatric to geriatric patients, you will have the opportunity to care for individuals across the lifespan, ensuring continuity of care for families and fostering a sense of community.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide emergency care for patients during designated walk-in hours or as needed.
Provides care in general dentistry including: diagnosis, preventive dentistry, operative dentistry, periodontics, prosthodontics and oral surgery. Refers patients as needed.
Diagnose dental conditions and plan oral health care in consultation with patients
Develop treatment plans for patients consistent with ADA Guidelines
Participates with Student Externship and Residency Program, overseeing and mentoring students including cosigning charts.
Participates in evaluation process for Support Staff, Hygienist, Dental Assistants and Dental Students/Residents
Complete clinical admin duties, peer review, documentation and any other necessary activities for comprehensive patient care.
Provide dental services at assigned locations, travel may be required

No on-call with a typical Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM schedule

Education and Qualifications:
Board certified/board eligible DDS/DMD and experience working in a clinic setting.
