Proposed federal changes are threatening access to Medicaid dental benefits, posing serious risks to access and equity in oral health care. Join the American Dental Association (ADA) and the National Network for Oral Health Access (NNOHA) for a dynamic and practical webinar on Thursday, June 26 at 12pm CT to learn what’s happening at the federal level, what it means for your patients, and how your voice can help protect and improve Medicaid dental benefits.
This timely session will examine the current Medicaid landscape, focusing on threats to both adult and pediatric dental coverage and the urgent need for coordinated advocacy. ADA staff will provide key policy updates and share ongoing national efforts, including recent coalition letters to Congress and targeted outreach strategies.
You’ll also hear directly from provider advocates who have successfully led state-level efforts to preserve and expand Medicaid dental coverage, demonstrating the powerful impact dental teams can have on policy change.
In addition, attendees will learn about the ADA’s StoryBank, an opportunity to help collect patient and provider stories that highlight the importance of Medicaid dental benefits. These narratives are a vital tool for advocacy at both the state and federal levels.
This webinar is a great opportunity to understand the current Medicaid environment better, explore advocacy strategies, and learn how personalized storytelling can drive policy decisions and protect access to care.
Learning Objectives:
Understand how current and proposed federal Medicaid changes could impact dental coverage.
Discover how grassroots, state-level advocacy by providers can influence policy decisions and protect benefits.
Access and apply ADA and NNOHA tools to support Medicaid advocacy and engagement in your community.
1.0 CDE will be offered. Attendees must register and attend via their own individual Zoom link to receive CDE.
