Founded in 2006, MCDC is committed to providing high-quality dental care to everyone, including those on Medicaid or without insurance across 28 centers in Michigan. If you're passionate about making a positive impact as a Registered Dental Hygienist, we invite you to join our team!  


Dental Hygienist: Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct oral health assessments, inclusive of oral cancer and other periodontal diseases.  

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings to remove plaque, tartar and stains from teeth.  

  • Take digital x-rays.

  • Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride. 

  • Assist the dentist with patient examinations and conduct follow-up treatment as directed. 

  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and overall dental health. 

  • Document patient dental history and maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes.  

  • Adhere to all infection control protocols and OSHA guidelines.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills  

  • A dedication to education and quality care  

  • Outstanding teamwork capabilities  

  • A drive for mission driven work and a welcoming attitude 

  • Expertise in multitasking and managing interruptions efficiently  

Qualifications: 

  • Associate or Bachelors in Hygiene from an Accredited Program (Required) 

  • Current Michigan Registered Dental Hygiene License (Required) 

  • Local Anesthetic preferred
