Position Overview:
Are you an individual looking to advance your career, be a part of an expanding oral health program, that includes developing and building a rural, general dentistry residency program?
A dentist with Valley View Health Centers is a leader and clinical supervisor to the dental team. As part of the team, providing comprehensive and appropriate dental care to patients; maintaining and restoring the oral health of VV patients. The dentist will ensure delivery of dental care is efficient and of high quality: demonstrating a commitment to the overall mission and values of the Pike CAC organization.

Responsibilities:
Patient Care (70% Effort)
• Prescribe and interpret diagnostics, make referrals to specialized care as needed.
• Educate patients and families on oral health and manage patient interactions professionally and compassionately.
• Ensure treatment meets high standards of care and compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
Clinical Resident Supervision (15% Effort)
• Supervise and train dental residents ensuring continuity and quality of patient care.
• Participate in case presentations, assess resident competencies, and review clinical documentation.
Administrative and Quality Improvement (10% Effort)
• Lead and support clinical staff, ensuring effective clinic operations and quality standards.
• Participate in community programs and maintain patient confidentiality.
Service and Other Responsibilities (5% Effort)
• Engage in various committees and work groups that support the organization’s mission to promote oral health.
Minimum Requirements:
• DDS or DMD from a CODA accredited program.
• Current Ohio State Dental Board license eligibility.
• CPR and AED certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Two years of clinical experience or completion of a GPR/AEGD program.
• Experience with underserved populations.
Working Conditions:
• Clinic-based environment with occasional travel between locations.
• Requires ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain effective communication.
