Job Description:
Assess and evaluate the oral health care needs of patients; perform selected diagnostic and therapeutic tasks; institute and manage care for patients; and perform related work as assigned. Flexible Work Schedule: 4/10 hour workday schedule, Mon. thru Thurs. or Tues. thru Fri.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Takes patient histories and performs examinations.
Accurately assesses clinical status and formulates treatment plans.
Administers treatment and educates patients on dental health.
Participates in quality improvement and training.
Supervises hygienist and dental assistant.
Maintains accurate documentation and responds to complaints.
Serves on-site committees and makes recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
Ability to work as a team member and communicate effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations.
Basic computer skills in Windows environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Knowledge of dental software and electronic medical records.
Ability to adapt to new technologies and procedures.
Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Education and/or Experience:
Dental School.
Residency training preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current California dental license.
Current DEA license.
Current CPR.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Hygienist and dental assistant when requested.
Physical Requirements:
Clinic-based position with office duties. Reasonable accommodations provided.
