Oral health is among the most unmet healthcare needs for individuals with special health care needs (SHCN). In recent years, there has been increased demand and interest in implementing programs that better support oral health care for people with SHCN. To understand trends, comfort levels, and knowledge among health center dental providers in providing care to people with SHCN, NNOHA conducted a survey and structured interviews in 2025. The survey received 288 responses. This webinar will review the results of NNOHA’s SHCN Survey, describe existing models of care for people with SHCN, and feature one health center that has successfully expanded access to patient-centered care strategies for people with SHCN.
1.0 CDE will be offered. *Attendees must register and attend the webinar via their own Zoom link to receive CDE.*
