Live Webinar 9/26/23

Community health centers have a unique opportunity to provide service-learning experiences for future dental professionals and team members. These experiences help introduce learners to community health, the communities we serve, and integrated healthcare systems. In addition, academic partnerships can help create pathways for employment, increasing and optimizing the health center's workforce. This webinar will describe NNOHA's most recent publication on academic partnerships. Three community health centers will describe their academic partnerships including pre-doctoral dental students, dental residents, dental hygiene students, and dental assistant students.

OBJECTIVES

1) Explain the benefits of academic partnerships for learners and community health centers.

2) Describe strategies to develop academic partnerships.

3) Learn how three community health centers established academic partnerships with various dental academic institutions.
