Overview: Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics (SBNC) is seeking an experienced General

Dentist to join our dynamic team in beautiful Santa Barbara, California. As a Federally

Qualified Health Center (FQHC), SBNC is dedicated to providing high-quality, comprehensive,

and affordable healthcare to all individuals, irrespective of their ability to pay. Our mission is

to foster an environment of respect, compassion, and dignity while delivery exceptional care

to our patients.


Responsibilities:

•  Provide comprehensive dental care to patients of Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics.

•  Monitor and supervise Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residents.

•  Collaborate with a team of dentists and staff to ensure the highest standard of care for patients.

•  Work closely with medical clinics to coordinate patient care and ensure holistic healthcare delivery.

•  Conduct dental examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

•  Perform routine dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals, removable and fixed prosthetics as well as planning for and maintaining implants.

•  Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care.

•  Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.


Requirements:

•  D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from an accredited dental school.

•  Valid license to practice dentistry in the state of California.

•  Experience working in a community health center or similar setting preferred.

•  Proficiency in dental procedures such as restorative dentistry, endodontics, removable and oral surgery.

•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Spanish is a plus but not required. Staff available for interpretation for all appointments.

•  Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

•  Commitment to providing compassionate care to underserved populations.


Loan Repayment/Forgiveness:

•  Our site has a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) score of 25, making candidates eligible for National Health Service Corps (NHSC) loan repayment/forgiveness.

•  We also qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).


Schedule:

•  Positions available for both part-time and full-time employment.

•  Flexible schedule covering hours from Monday through Saturday.

•  Availability to work at both stationary dental clinics and mobile clinic as needed.
