COMMITTEES

About NNOHA

Are you a current NNOHA member who is interested in joining a Committee? Please complete this online application. Committees may have caps on the number of members and will only accept if there are vacancies available. Responses are checked on a quarterly basis. You will only receive an email if accepted into a committee. For any questions regarding committees please email info@nnoha.org.


NNOHA has several committees that work on the objectives of the organization and support the high-priority issues of the members. These standing committees include:

Annual Conference Planning Committee

Co-Chairs: Lisa Bozzetti, DDS and Tena Springer, RDH, MA


Description: This committee plans and oversees the successful coordination of NNOHA’s annual conference.

Board Development and Governance Committee

Chair: Ryan Tuscher, DDS


Description: This committee sets board development goals, by-law revisions, elections, and other aspects crucial to the infrastructure of NNOHA.

Continuing Education Advisory Committee

Co-Chairs: Yogita Butani Thakur, DDS, MS and Beverly Foster, DDS, MHA


Description: This committee serves as an advisory committee to NNOHA (CE Provider) regarding the goals, objectives and content of the CE program, conducts periodic reappraisal and revision for education goals; and reviews educational content for appropriateness and applicability for NNOHA CE opportunities.

Executive Committee

Chair: An Nguyen, DDS, MPH


Description: This committee, comprised of the NNOHA president, immediate past president, president-elect, treasurer and secretary, provides general organizational oversight, in concert with the Executive Director.

Membership is limited to current members of the Board of Directors.

Finance Committee

Chair: Clifton Bush


Description: This committee provides financial oversight, evaluation and guidance on budgetary and fiscal matters. It is comprised of the Treasurer (chair), President, President-elect and 2 additional members, who may or may not be NNOHA Board members.

Membership is limited to current members of the Board of Directors.

Membership Committee

Co-Chairs: McAllister Castelaz, DMD, FAGD and Andrea Hight


Description: This joint committee identifies high-priority issues that benefit from NNOHA involvement or commentary and works with key partners to affect positive change for oral health. It also encourages the growth of NNOHA membership; oversees communications tools for members such as the website; and disseminates innovative resources and evidence-based approaches to oral health.

Policy and Advocacy Committee

Co-Chairs: Jay Anderson, DMD, MHSA and Lisa Kearney, DDS


Description: The Policy and Advocacy Committee represents the voice of the NNOHA membership at the national and local level.  The committee writes, reviews, and updates NNOHA’s policy and advocacy initiatives and creates resources for NNOHA members.  It also identifies partners in policy and advocacy and works with those partners to promote oral health access and equity.

Practice Management Committee

Co-Chairs: Janine Burkhardt, DMD, MPH and Donna Bridge, DMD


Description: This committee develops practice management resources to assist health center oral health programs in being more efficient, effective, and productive. It reviews existing resources and best practices, shares information with the membership, and serves as content experts to assist NNOHA staff and members

Quality Committee

Co-Chairs: Lindsay Sailor and Ramona English, DMD, MPH


Description: This committee drives equitable health outcomes for America’s underserved and supports the health care workers who deliver their care. It provides both strategic insights and technical expertise to drive NNOHA’s work around outcome measurement, evidence-based interventions, and quality improvement and innovation.
