The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting a General Dentist for a community health center, also called a federally qualified health center (FQHC), in Waterloo, Iowa.

Community health centers are the nation’s largest source of comprehensive primary care for medically under-resourced communities and populations.
Through an integrated care model, including medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services, patients can access comprehensive, coordinated services often under one roof.

Position Details:
Clinic Hours: Mon/Tues/Fri: 8am-5pm, Wed/Thurs- 8am-8pm
Your schedule: Mon/Tues/Friday: 8am-5pm and 11:30am – 8pm either W/TH with the other being 8:30am – 5:30pm.
Evenings: one evening a week until 8PM, no weekends
Call schedule: none
Patients: 12-16 per day + hygiene exams
Operatories: 6
Current Staff: 1 dentist, dental hygienists, and dental assistants
Full scope general dentistry with built in referral network.
State-of-the-art dental equipment including Scan-X Digital X-ray, GenDex
EHR: Epic Wisdom
Other notes: You will spend one day a week in Clarksville at Butler County site.
Requirements:
DDS or DMD from an approved dental school
Benefits:
Starting salary: $166,000 - $184,000/ year based on experience + productivity incentive.
Student Loan Repayment: Eligible for up to $50,000 for two year commitment & option to renew through state and federal programs.
Insurance: medical, dental, life, short and long-term disability,
Contract length: 1 – 3 years
Professional dues/fees: health center pays for these
Malpractice Insurance: FTCA malpractice coverage, GAP, and Tail coverage
CME: $3,000/year & 5 days
PTO: 20 days per year
Sick Leave: 7 days per year
Holidays: 7 paid days
Retirement Plan: 401k – health center contributes up to 5% of your gross annual compensation
