This publication summarizes the findings of NNOHA's Special Health Care Needs (SHCN) Survey, offers recommendations to improve access for people with SHCN, and highlights promising practices from interviews with health centers.
To understand trends, comfort levels, and knowledge among health center dental providers in providing care to people with SHCN, NNOHA conducted a survey and structured interviews in 2025. The survey received 288 responses.
