Summary: Olde Towne Medical Center (OTMC) in Williamsburg, Virginia is a safety net clinic that serves uninsured and under-insured populations. OTMC identified lack of oral health care as a problem for prenatal patients and diabetic patients. As a result, OTMC developed an integration of oral health into primary care program for these populations. This session will discuss the journey of the OTMC integration program. Dr. William Mann, Executive Medical Director of OTMC will share the strategies to implement an oral health integration project, staff training, staff and provider buy-in, barriers to patient acceptance, and results from the OTMC experience. 1 Continuing Dental Education (CDE) credit will be offered for this webinar.  December 12, 2017 1p.m. MST/3p.m. EST Click here to sign-up! Speaker Bio: Dr. William Mann is the Executive Medical Director of Olde Towne Medical & Dental Center, located in Williamsburg, VA.  Dr. Mann is a graduate of Penn State University’s Hershey Medical Center, where he received his medical degree and completed a residency in OB/GYN.  He also did a research fellowship at Hershey, as well as a gynoncology fellowship at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.  Dr. Mann’s prior career was 34 years in academic medicine, at SUNY@Stony Brook, Riverside Regional Medical Center, Jersey Shore University Medical Center and the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.  He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, written numerous book chapters and a textbook, has extensive experience in research, and is the author of numerous section in UPTODATE.
