NNOHA is the largest group of safety-net oral health practitioners in the country, and our members all share a commitment to increasing access to quality oral health care for underserved populations. NNOHA is committed to providing the highest quality resources and support designed to meet the unique needs of our members and their programs.

The PCA Oral Health Collaborative (POHC) is a key partner in the effort to achieve the national goal of increasing access to quality oral health care. Uniquely positioned as a primary care association peer network, the opportunities to support and protect policies as well as the ability to provide direct technical assistance to Federally Qualified Health Centers are unmatched.

POHC is comprised of oral health representatives from PCAs from across the nation, representing more than 35 states. Additional network partners include National Network for Oral Health Access (NNOHA), DentaQuest Partnership, and National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) which are all engaged in oral health promotion.

POHC STRATEGIC PRIORITY AREAS

  1. EQUITY & ACCESS – Promote models of care that include oral health as a key part of social determinants of health to provide person-centered, equitable, and compassionate care to all.

  2. COLLABORATION & PARTNERSHIPS – Strengthen the network of Primary Care Associations (PCAs) to innovate and drive change to benefit the communities we serve.

  3. POLICY & ADVOCACY – Advance and protect oral health advocacy strategies to influence policy change.

  4. PAYMENT REFORM & VALUE BASED CARE – Lead initiatives to transform the payment and care systems to integrate oral health in order to optimize overall health.

  5. DATA COLLECTION & UTILIZATION – Support efforts at state and national levels to identify a standardized data set and increase data utilization in service of NOHIIN strategic areas.
