CDC guidance for infection prevention & control (IPC) is applicable to all settings where oral healthcare is provided. This includes portable and mobile settings. These settings have unique considerations for compliance with current guidance, recommendations and regulations. This presentation will review current CDC guidance and relevant OSHA regulations, with emphasis on portable and mobile oral healthcare programs. Resources and tools for implementation and evaluation will be discussed. 1.0 CDE will be provided. *Attendees must register and attend the webinar through their own unique Zoom link in order to receive CDE.


Learning Objectives:

  • Describe infection prevention & control considerations for portable dental care delivery.

  • Describe strategies and tools for evaluating a site/program-specific infection prevention & control program for compliance with CDC recommendations, OSHA regulations and other state and local regulations.

  • Identify credible resources to facilitate continuous quality improvement of an infection prevention & control program.
