Many veterans struggle to access high-quality oral health services. Health centers are uniquely positioned to increase access to oral health care for veterans. Earlier this year, NNOHA and the American Institute of Dental Public Health (AIDPH) partnered to publish a compendium of veteran oral health best, promising, and emerging practice approaches. This webinar will describe the current status and data trends of oral health for veterans. It will also highlight two organizations from the publication to describe their strategies to increase access to oral health care for veterans.
Objectives:
1. Review oral health data for veterans.
2. Describe strategies to increase access to oral health care for veterans.
3. Discuss recommendations for health centers and other organizations to implement programs to provide high-quality oral health for veterans.
